“My Kim Jew Story….I think it was way back in the early 1990′s when I first went to have my picture taken at Kim Jew’s on Girard. I had been through a terrible time in my life and they were having a sale. I got the whole make-up job and everything. My parents loved the pictures. My only regret is never getting them over there to have their pictures taken.
The next time I went was when I was starting a new phase in my life. Me and my big guy Magnum de Dog went over to have our picture taken. Eyes poped when they saw him….but we had so much fun….me and my bud.
The year after I got married we got our wedding pictures done with Magnum in tow. Magnum the high class model. But our pictures were great…..even with the ball and chain.
Then right before I had eye surgery we went back but this time there was Magnum plus 3 other dogs, Parra, Silverado and Independence Day. They had cow print collars, Al wore a cow print tie and me in my cow print dress. What a ton of fun!!!!
I trouped over a couple of times by my self and then the last time with the last 3 dogs in 2007. The American flag in the back groud is wonderful.
They even worked with me and the Senior plus____ years, which I think they should consider as a sale. It is 40 years since I got sprung from high school. My grad pictures were stiff and I got jealous of some of the really fun looking stuff Kim Jew has been posting. It is going to be fun to see what 40 years have done.
I always recommed everyone go to Kim Jew at least once in their lives. The photographers are amazing. Every single one of them have been very patient and workable. If you have suggestions….they listen. And when I have showed up with 4 dogs in tow they made the dogs feel top of the kennel pile.
Every once in a while we need a reminder of that God created us all beautiful. Some times our souls need that reminder to show us our out sides. Life gets dirty some times and once in a while it is nice to get “cleaned off” with something like a good photo.
Look at the camera and smile….you are worth it.”
